ALEXANDER AND ELENA MIKHAILENKO A PLACE FOR A TALE

In the life of modern man is not so much holidays. But you want to keep pleasant memories, you want to return to them and experience again and again … Human memory is not perfect. Over time, the bright colors fade, emotions are forgotten. What to do? How to keep happy moments for long? For over a hundred years, photography has helped. In this case, the photographer can strictly fix what is happening, can embellish it, and maybe move you to a completely different world – the world of fiction and fantasy. One of the most important holidays in the life of each of us is a wedding celebration, the day when we connect our destiny with a loved one. Emotions beat the key, happiness overwhelms – really these feelings can not be saved forever? Can. This is our job. And one of the most interesting genres of photo art.
On the one hand, our work style can be called artistic journalism. We always try to show that a wedding is a bright, unique and dynamic event.
The other side of our style is art photography. In order to achieve certain artistic effects, we work a lot with graphic editors such as Lightroom and so much disliked by many Photoshop photographers.

Creating art-style photos takes a lot of time. There are a number of nuances. We never remove specially “for processing”. By and large, during weddings and pre-wedding photo shoots, we shoot an art report. Since we are always working together, the volume of the footage in one shooting day reaches 3-4 thousand frames. The main problem, as always, is the problem of choice. Under the art-processing material is selected in many ways intuitively. It does not matter which of us took it, if the picture gets “in the mood” – it will go into processing.
The next task is to find an idea for a photo or a series of shots. Much depends on our models, on how they looked, how they behaved, on what we managed to learn about them, communicating during filming. It often happens that in the course of working on a snapshot, his perception changes, and the final result differs markedly from the original idea.
The basics are laid out while working in Lightroom. For each shooting, and sometimes for individual photos, create your own presets. Next, the images are “polished” in Photoshop. But this is not so important. The most important thing is to stop in time, not to drown in dozens of layers of the image, not to lose interest in the photo itself.

Quite often we hear that our creativity cannot be considered as a wedding photo, that it is too gloomy, dark and not charged. But those who say so forget that photography is, above all, an imprint. The picture on the computer monitor and the fingerprint in the hands are sometimes fundamentally different. We process the photos so that they as much as possible well looked at the subsequent printing.
In any case, our style is still being formed. Most recently, we shot and processed differently, and not the fact that in the future, our attachments will not change. Only the desire to create something beautiful and unusual will remain unchanged.
